I am a Masters of Engineering student studying computer science and electrical engineering in the Camera Culture group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I am currently interested in computational imaging and computer vision. The photos current cameras take contain vast amounts of data that current learning algorithms fail to extract. How can we use this data to extract information about an object outside of the camera's field of view? Can we look at a pedestrians facial expression to predict if they will step into the street? These are the problems I am interested in, I believe they will be important for many applications including a particular favorite, autonomous vehicles. Outside of academics, my hobbies include photography, painting, 3d modeling, skiing, hiking, and mountain biking.
